Frequently asked questions
Unfortunately, we do not have any baby cots in the house because the size of most of the rooms is not designed for them.
Each guest room has an extra fluffy and warm blanket per person in the wardrobe.
We are happy to offer you breakfast on the day of arrival (for an additional charge), but prior notification is essential.
Alternatively, you can have the breakfast you would have on the day of departure on the day of arrival instead, but again, please let us know in advance.
Our Frühstückspension Maier is located in the quiet and sunny district of Oberwindau, just 200 metres from the “Gaislachkoglbahn”. In winter you are just a few steps away from the Sölden ski area, and the cross-country ski trail also leads right past the house. In summer, the Bike Republic and numerous hiking trails are also just a stone's throw away.
Cancellation is possible free of charge at any time up to 60 days before arrival. For cancellations less than 60 days before arrival, no-shows or early departures, the full contract amount must be paid.
Our guests have one free parking slot per room directly at our house. They are located either on the street side or in the sheltered inner courtyard (individual wishes are gladly taken into account).
You have the option of changing in our changing room on the day of arrival and departure and leaving your luggage there (no liability).
This means you can make the most of every day of your stay right up to the last minute.

Use of changing room and depot on the day of arrival and departure
You have the option of changing in our changing room on the day of arrival and departure and leaving your luggage there (no liability).
This means you can make the most of every day of your stay right up to the last minute.
You will be informed in good time by email regarding the deposit when you have made your reservation with us.
For a binding booking, 50% of the total amount must be paid in advance (within 60 days before arrival) by bank transfer.
The remaining amount of the total arrangement must be paid either by bank transfer before arrival or exclusively in cash on site.
Unfortunately, payment by credit, debit and EC cards is not possible in our house.
As we are a very small guesthouse, we are unfortunately unable to offer discounts for children of all ages all year round.
The general terms and conditions for the hotel industry apply, with the exception of the cancellation conditions.
Our house has central heating controlled according to the outside temperature, which is also fully operational in summer. You can regulate the heat output yourself using the rotary knob on the radiator.
No pets are allowed in our guesthouse, not even “very dear” or “small” ones.
Our cleaner has a day off one day a week. We will inform you of this the day before with a card on your bed.
If you need fresh towels or anything else on the day in question, you are welcome to contact us at any time.
There is a direct dial telephone in every guest room. The telephone number of the house is +43 5254 2456, the extension is the number of your guest room.
Keys
Please note that you should always take your room key with you when you leave our house. Both front doors lock automatically after closing and can therefore only be opened again from the outside using the room key.
Safe
There is a code safe in the wardrobe of each guest room. The operating instructions are enclosed.
Video surveillance
We would like to point out that the public areas of our guesthouse are under video surveillance for security reasons (also in your interest). It goes without saying that the corresponding data will be automatically deleted within the current statutory period.
In the high season, we generally only let rooms from Saturday to Saturday and for 7 nights. In the low season, short stays of up to three nights are also possible for an additional charge.
Where can I smoke?
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. You may smoke on the balconies and at the seating area in front of the main entrance (outside), please use the ashtrays provided.
May I cook in my room?
No! For odour and fire safety reasons, cooking in the rooms is prohibited.
If such odours require additional cleaning of the room, we will charge for the working time involved.
Just in case, we recommend that you take out travel insurance or hotel cancellation insurance, such as “Europäische Reiseversicherung”.
All guest rooms have fully digital flat-screen TVs connected to Sölden's cable TV with over 100 TV and radio programmes.
We provide umbrellas to borrow free of charge for our guests at the entrance area.
Use of the sauna and steam bath is included in the room rate. To avoid wasting precious energy unnecessarily, we only use these facilities if you let us know early (ideally at breakfast).
